The 1st thing I did was use a good metal drill and added a handle on the front. It is too hard to open using the twist knob used to unlock it. The handle makes it very easy.The 2nd thing I did was use some carriage bolts and large steel washers to block off the huge holes for wiring. For the use I have, I do not want anyone being able to get anything easily inside (small items of moderate value inside).The overall thing is sturdy. Not big heavy safe thickness, but would slow down an amateur. Obviously no wall safe is is that secure if they know where it is, since you can just cut out the studs it is attached to with a rechargeable saw. So, the purpose is to prevent grab and go of whatever you have (laptop or other items). Unlike a wall safe, it has a lot of space, which is very useful; it is also very nice to open it up and have everything easily accessible with the door as shelf.
